I created this series using the farsi word “Eshgh” english translation ” Love”.

The significance of the nude figure is depicted as an anti-authoritarian symbol. The lion subjects are added to protect the women and channel their inner power.
I paint these pieces in support of women rights in Iran to be free of the mandatory hijab. I was born in Tehran in the 70’s with a strong feminist Loving Mother.  This series comes in support of all women around the world with specific focus on Iranian Women living under a harsh regime. Of course the conceptual ideas of this series should not be confused with anti religion or other beliefs associated with wearing a hijab. It is only a suggestion toward your body your mind. Free rights to wear or not.
