Ferdod Haghighi was born in Tehran , Iran in the 70’s. His mother was an english literature teacher and his father was a professor at the university of Tehran. Both his parents where artists and collected contemporary art as well as antique rugs. During a time he remembers as the “beautiful years in Iran.” His family fled Iran during the Iranian revolution in 1979. Returning with his mother in 1980 for a year to claim the families abandoned property. During which time was the start of the Iran and Iraq war. The impact of all of these events plays a major role in his artwork.
He was raised in Vancouver , BC. Canada and now lives and works with his Canadian wife Karli Neale in Seattle’s historical Pioneer Square. His artwork is displayed and sold at the couples design gallery and art studio in Pioneer Square.
Currently working on: Activism paintings and commissions.
